What the indicators on a breeder profile mean

Identity confirmation

"Identity confirmed via Stripe Identity" means Stripe (not BreederHQ) confirmed the breeder's government-issued ID matched the legal name on file. BreederHQ does not perform the verification itself.

Registry passthrough

"Confirmed via NSIP" (or breed-specific registries) means BreederHQ queried the registry and found a matching record. Click the source-record link to verify current status directly with NSIP or the breed association.

Breeder's own attestation

Scrapie certification status, OPP testing, fiber analysis data, and health records are the breeder's own attestation. BreederHQ does not open, read, or vouch for uploaded documents. Request originals and verify directly.

  • Lambing and production history: past lambing records, current pregnancies, expected lambs, and waitlist status.
  • Fiber quality data: for fiber breeds, independent lab micron counts, staple length, fleece weight, color, and natural color genetics where the breeder records them.
  • Program story and goals: what the breeder is selecting for, herd history, and photos of current animals.
