How to Browse on the Marketplace
Filters that matter for finding the right space:
- Subtype. Indoor arena, outdoor arena, round pen, wash rack: the facility type drives nearly everything else. Filter first.
- Footing. Sand, fiber, rubber, dirt, or grass. Footing matters more than dimensions for almost every discipline.
- Dimensions. Standard dressage court is 20×60m; jumping needs 80×200ft+; reining patterns need 100×200ft+. Filter to the size your discipline requires.
- Trailer access. Wide gates, gravel turnaround, and rig parking. Most equine facilities serve hauled-in riders; confirm before booking.
What to Look For Before You Book
- Coggins and vaccination policy. Reputable facilities require current Coggins, often within 6-12 months, plus EWT and rhinopneumonitis. The requirement protects every horse on the property.
- Liability waiver. Standard for equine facilities. Read it. Some are stricter than others.
- Footing maintenance schedule. Dragged daily, watered as needed. Photos of footing in actual condition (not stock photos) tell you whether the host actually maintains it.
- Cross-ties and tie rails. Confirm tack-up space before you arrive. Some arena-only rentals don't include any.
- Mounting blocks and jumps. Some hosts include standards and rails; some don't. Confirm what's set up vs. what you have to bring.
- Booking buffer for clinics. If you're booking for a clinic with multiple riders, confirm setup/teardown time is included.
